Being from the Midwest, I have been surrounded by people, including my parents, who have the mentality work hard at a job you may not like and retire with good benefits. I have more of the mindset work hard in an industry or "job" that you love and you never have to work at a "job" in your life. For me, this industry is the beer industry. My father got me a home brewing kit for Christmas when I was 21. Since then, I have developed a passion for beer and the processes that go into making it.
I have spent almost 3 years in the sales realm after a 5 year stint as a Law Enforcement Officer. My experiences as a Deputy have aided me in sales in being able to communicate with people from all walks of life, and the ability to handle stressful situations. My sales experience has been in capital weighing equipment and service (scales).
My beer sales experience includes, delivering beer for a local Anheuser-Busch distributor and working with a local start up brewery to expand their customer base. I have obtained the Cicerone Beer Server certificate on my own dime to aid my credentials when discussing beer.
My short term goal is to get into the beer industry in any capacity that I can. I have not focused on a long term goal, just because I have focused my efforts to get into the industry in any way that I can. My passion for beer, and passion for helping people experience life to the fullest will make my a great candidate for anyone in the beer industry. For those taking the time to review my profile, thank you.
Sincerely,
Nathan V. Britton
