JOB SUMMARY
The Business Analytics Manager is a member of the Corporate Brands Team and is based at our Livermore, CA location. The Corporate Brands Team is a key priority for TWG and integral to the growth of the company. This position plays an integral role in arming our marketing and sales teams with key strategies and insights based upon market conditions and opportunities for our key retailers. It requires a strong knowledge base of Nielsen information as well as exceptional technical skills to allow us to bring unique insights and added value to our key retailers. This position requires a blend of analytics, sales, and strategic vision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Insight development and analysis:
Requirements – Advanced Excel enabling data comparisons across multiple reports/platforms/sources. Knowledge of MS Access/SQL helpful.
Ability to communicate effectively with sales and marketing organization in a non-technical manner to understand data concerns and identify root-problem needing research.
Ability to work with IT and 3rd Party Vendors to communicate business requirements using database specific language.
Ability to understand and communicate nuanced information in a concise, efficient executive summary style format to multiple audiences with varying degrees of technical acumen.
MS Excel Based Report Management including Design, Update and Maintenance
Requirements – Advanced Excel knowledge including advanced formula creation using compound Mathematic, Logical, Text and Reference formulas as well as conditional formatting (If, And, Or, Vlookup, SumIf, CountIf, Subtotal, Len, Left, Right, Mid et al.)
Advanced Pivot Table skills including template automation, design best-practices, calculated fields, ‘show data as’ and ‘summarize values by’ functionality
Ability to extract data from Vendor platforms and reload in to excel via SQL Connection or reference worksheets
Vermont Information Processing (VIP) database management and reporting
Requirements – Advanced Excel. Management of SRS/iDig Call Points including adjustments based on sales feedback. Ability to build iDig Reports as needed
Excellent storyteller with data:
Ability to analyze Nielsen and retailer data to identify opportunities and weave sales story to support the TWG Corporate Brands Team.
Ability to develop presentation ready slides:
Utilize key data and insights to develop presentations for retailers to key sell in against our current or new business opportunities.
Business tracking:
​Develop a tracking tool for Corporate Brands team to scorecard existing business vs. competitive corporate brands. Utilize scorecard to uncover opportunities for innovation in Corporate Brands. New tools should allow information to be easily accessible and usable for sales and marketing.
Experience with Consumer Research:
Will drive both quantitative and qualitative research with outside vendors to find key insights for brands. Translates those insights into actionable recommendations. This includes package refreshes, new item recommendations, and new SKU launch recommendations.
Sales and Retailer Orientation:
​Will work alongside sales and marketing to sell-in brands with key account buyers. Marries brand strategies with retailer objectives using an understanding of retail and on-premise customers.
Entrepreneurial Track Record and Competitive Drive:
Proven success in an entrepreneurial venture, including an appreciation for an environment of resource limitations, cost control, prudent risk taking and limitless creativity. Ability to manage ambiguity and multiple priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, related field or equivalent work experience
5+ years CPG brand management experience from an “academy” CPG company. Food/beverage experience preferred
Experience in private label/corporate brands a preferred
MS Excel including Functions and Pivot Tables – Expert
Nielsen data - Expert
MS Access – Knowledgeable
SQL – Knowledgeable
MS Sharepoint – Knowledgeable
Web-Based Data Query Platforms (i.e. AOD / iDig) - Intermediate
MS PowerPoint – Intermediate (can create powerful marketing presentations for internal and external customers)
Strong analytical thinking
Experience presenting programs to executive management and retailers.
Collaborative team leader with high motivation and strong desire to achieve in a demanding environment. Sets SMART goals and aggressive schedules for improvement

Position includes travel to customers and/or company events, up to 20% of the time
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. (a case of wine)
