TWE seeks an experienced Director-level Insights professional to develop, drive, and implement insights in the Americas’ Region. The role will lead the Insights team in the America’s region focused on Strategic and National Accounts, Shopper insights and the Luxury Wine Consumer.
The successful incumbent will not only be a strategic thinker and strong leader, but analytically capable with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and explain large amounts of data, and turn them into actionable insights for various audiences.
Lead a team to develop true actionable insights in the America’s region with particular focus on Strategic/National Accounts, Shopper Insights, and the Luxury Wine Consumer
Generate insights based on agreed project list, data-mining, and customer specific requests
Create actionable selling materials and share with Sales teams through written and verbal presentations
Represent TWE at key customer/distributor meetings
Optimize reporting templates and analysis
Drive forward thinking analysis around where the consumer, shopper and alcoholic beverage industry are going
Develop polished reports and strategies around actions TWE can take to act on key insights
Develop analysis and strategies around how to win with TWE’s top customers (Retailers)
Lead development of channel strategies with relevant data and insights
Support key stakeholders across the business with relevant, impactful insights that drive TWE’s strategy, including Investor Relations, CEO, Board of Directors, Brand Marketing leadership, Sales Leadership, Trade Marketing, Corporate Strategy etc.
Manage and drive special projects within the Americas business. This includes aggregating and synthesizing relevant data, developing options and aligning on a recommended approach, communicating and defending the recommended path, and leading/tracking implementation where appropriate
Own relationship with IRI (and other data vendors) and manage monthly IRI reporting and analytics
Manage and develop ~10-person team. Create forum to drive TWE behaviors, share best practices, and motivate the team to win.
Ensure collaboration and cross-pollination across team that includes people in satellite offices
Bachelor's degree required; MBA (or management consulting experience) highly desired
Strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and ability to work with on-line database applications (e.g., IRI)
Strong analytical skills, must be able to extract data from multiple sources and summarize into key insights
High level of knowledge on beverage alcohol industry (if candidate does not possess this expertise, then candidate should have a track record of being a “quick” learner- e.g., Management Consultant)
Experience leading a team
Excellent problem-solving skills – must be able to translate insights into opportunities and actions
Strong verbal and written communication skills – must be able to craft and deliver compelling presentations and papers
Demonstrated leadership and influential capabilities
Ability to lead cross-functional work groups to collaborative solutions
Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects under tight timetables
Ability to work within a team environment
